There are a number of scholarships and grants available to those wishing to attend the National Volunteering Conference 2020. Please see below for more information.

DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES (DSS)

Scholarships

(all australian residents)

We are pleased to announce that the Australian Government Department of Social Services (DSS) is providing scholarships for organisations who require financial assistance or are from regional, rural or remote areas to attend the National Volunteering Conference 2020. This is an opportunity to be part of Australia’s premier volunteering event.

A range of different scholarships are available:

  1. Full scholarship – Includes conference registration, return travel from any major Australian port, and accommodation to cover the conference period.
  2. Part scholarship (A) – Includes conference registration and accommodation to cover the conference period.
  3. Part scholarship (B) – Includes return travel from any major Australian port, and accommodation to cover the conference period.
  4. Conference registration - Includes Conference registration only.

This scholarship is available to all Australian residents.

Applications close COB Monday 27 January 2020 with successful scholarship recipients notified on Friday 7 February 2020.

LOTTERYWEST GRANT

(WA RESIDENTS ONLY)

Thanks to the generous support of Lotterywest we are delighted to be able to offer a grant to cover travel and accommodation costs for Conference attendees from regional WA. Registration costs and any additional expenses will need to be met by the attendee/organisation.Organisations are considered regional if they are based outside Perth and surrounds.

Original receipts will be required for reimbursement of travel expenses by Volunteering WA. Accommodation will be booked by Volunteering WA, which has reserved rooms at the Adina Apartment Hotel Perth. This hotel is the closest to the Conference venue and  offer comfortable accommodation and the package includes free in room WiFi. Breakfast is not included.

If successful, applicants will be expected to book airfares or train fares straight away to ensure the best price. Applicants will also be required to register for the Conference before any reimbursements are provided.

This grant is available to Western Australian residents only.
